A paper has been published documenting the process leading to our research and educational collaboration with Jönköping University in Sweden, which began with a faculty visit in 2023. We aim to further strengthen global partnerships in dental hygiene education and research, and continue sharing our initiatives with the international community.

We welcomed undergraduate students and faculty members from the dental hygiene program at Taipei Medical University. Through participation in lectures and hands-on training sessions, we deepened academic and cultural exchange.
We participated in the 2025 International Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research (IADR) held in Barcelona, Spain. Three members from our laboratory — a master's student, a doctoral student, and a research fellow — presented their research in poster sessions. Barcelona was a beautiful city full of art and culture.

We attended the 75th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Oral Health, held at Toki Messe in Niigata, together with our new graduate students who joined the lab this April. One of our master’s students presented a poster on a collaborative research project with Taipei Medical University. All venues were filled with enthusiastic participants, and lively discussions took place throughout the conference.

We attended the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society for Occupational Health (May 14–17, 2025, Sendai). As befits Sendai’s name “the City of Trees,” the Sendai International Center was enveloped in vibrant greenery, glowing under the clear blue sky.

Our graduate student visited Jönköping University, where she toured the university campus and student clinic. We sincerely appreciate the faculty members at Jönköping University for their coordination and hospitality.

A first-year master's student has started her study abroad at Linköping University in Sweden. Wishing her a fruitful and rewarding experience!

Four faculty members from Jönköping University School of Health and Welfare (Sweden) visited the Kasumi Campus in November, 2024. Through a campus tour and seminars, we deepened our exchange.

I attended the International Society for Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL) conference in Cologne. Cologne, which is home to the World Heritage Site of Cathedral, is also known as a city of chocolate and eau de Cologne.

The university held an open campus. The skills lab for the Department of Oral Health Care was also ready for visitors.
